Have you already completed an apprenticeship or professional training? And perhaps even passed exams and earned credit in the process? Fantastic! We acknowledge your previous achievements: in the case of equivalence, you can request the transfer of credits to your study programme. This enables you to shorten your period of study and save on tuition fees. We will gladly look into whether this is possible in your specific case – simply mention it to the advisor of your chosen study programme!

Credit transfer and recognition made easy.

By recognizing prior achievements, e.g. from training or further education, it is possible to shorten your period of study and save on tuition fees. Academic achievements and examinations already completed can also be credited. Depending on the study format, credit transfer and recognition works in different ways:

In the fix study format, credited modules reduce your minimum total fee, while also allowing you to benefit from a shorter study and payment period.
In the flex study format, you mainly reduce your total tuition fees; the payment period remains unchanged.

With us, you don't have to deal with complicated forms or time-consuming procedures. Our service includes a thorough and non-binding review of your previous achievements. Simply send us the relevant documents as clearly legible PDFs with the following information by e-mail:

Certificate of university entrance qualification for preliminary examination of admission requirements
Curriculum vitae
Number of SWS or ECTS or workload/teaching hours for each course to be recognised
In addition, the corresponding grade or proof of ‘pass’, if available
Proof of content for each course to be recognised (e.g. course or module descriptions, framework curricula, etc.)
If training, then: school training certificate and certificate from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK)

By transferring credits from previous studies, you not only save on tuition fees, but can also shorten the duration of your studies. Fix

Your savings: Up to €165.00*

Crediting a module with 6 ECTS reduces your minimum tuition fee by half a monthly instalment (upon successful completion of your studies).

Saving at regular tuition fee: €165.00
Saving at introductory tuition fee: €149.50

Flex

Your savings: €240.00*

Crediting a module with 6 ECTS reduces your tuition fees by €240.00.
The savings will be deducted from the last regular instalments at the end of the payment period.
The payment and study periods may be shortened (depending on the number of credits and individual learning progress).

Calculation example for office managers

Business Management (B.A.)

In the fix & flex study formats

Transferring credit from your apprenticeship or continuing education enables you to shorten your period of study and save on tuition fees.

Here is an example: You are an office management assistant and are interested in starting our Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Then we will transfer a total of 24 credits for you for the following four modules (6 ECTS for each module):

Transferable modules:

Introduction to Economics (6 ECTS)
Introduction to Business Administration (6 ECTS)
Accounting and Reporting (6 ECTS)
Theory–Practice Transfer (6 ECTS)

This reduces the tuition fees in the flex study format by a total of €960.00 (€40.00 per ECTS) and shortens the duration of study by almost one semester.

In the fix study format, your total savings amount to €360.00 (€90.00 per module) and both your study and payment period is reduced by approximately 4 months.
