Why did you choose the Design Management (M.A.) programme at SRH Fernhochschule?

In my very practice-orientated job, I sometimes miss the scientific aspects of design. The degree programme gives me the opportunity to delve deeper into theory again. SRH Fernhochschule is perfect because I can study very flexibly at my own pace.

What work do you do alongside your studies and how can you already use the skills from your studies?

I work as a team leader in marketing and design. The management skills in particular, which you don't learn on a traditional design degree programme, help me enormously in my professional life. I can apply the strategic approaches directly in team management and project planning.

How do you manage to combine distance learning with your professional and private life?

Distance learning is very flexible, but you still need a lot of self-discipline. It is also important to have a personal environment that gives you the time you need - for me, this usually means using weekends for self-study.

What professional goal are you pursuing with your Master's degree?

My goal is to become an even better designer and manager with a focus on the entrepreneurial aspect. I want to be able to make well-founded, strategic decisions in projects and have both the creative and the business side in mind.

Dear Mohammad, thank you very much for your insights. We wish you continued success with your studies and your future plans.
